Dedra S. Rainey, President

Ms. Rainey formed Navaid Lighting Associates, Inc. in June of 2000 focusing on improving design, installation and maintenance of airfield lighting systems through the various services offered by her company.

Ms. Rainey's understanding of and concern for the proper operation of runway and taxiway lighting lead Navaid Lighting Associates, Inc. into a partnership with TMS Photometrics, a division of Tailor Made Systems, Ltd. of the United Kingdom. TMS Photometrics is the developer of the Mobile Airfield Light Monitoring Systems (MALMS) which accurately measures the performance of high intensity lighting on operational runways and taxiways.

Ms. Rainey also directed the company into a strategic alliance with the American Assocation of Airport Executives, (AAAE) to provide training and certification for airfield maintenance electricians. This alliance culminated in the development of the Airfield Lighting Maintenance AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Certification Program.

Ms. Rainey oversees all daily operations of Navaid Lighting Associates, Inc. including project proposals, contract negotiations, and coordination and implementation of all training, testing, and consulting services.

As a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), Executive Board member of the Aviation Lighting Committee (IESALC), and Corporate Member of the American Association of Airport Executives, Ms. Rainey continues to lead Navaid Lighting Associates, Inc. in her vision or promoting enhanced safety and efficiency at our nation's airports.
